In the following year, the Colombo brothers started the crossheads factory, calling the company COTRAME - Colombo Metal Transformations, strongly serving the retail market (parts) throughout Brazil.

1988

1988

To meet the demand for cast components required by MIAC and AEMCO, COLOMBO FOUNDRY was created in 1988, responsible for manufacturing the parts that make up the implements, cardans, and parts for the agricultural and automotive sectors. The initiative by the Colombo brothers, in addition to streamlining production, began to determine quality control for each item on the machines and cardan shafts. With COLOMBO FOUNDRY, MIAC and AEMCO gained the freedom to impose the rhythm they wanted on their production lines and to grow with peace of mind and security. An autonomy that made it possible to better plan the work and respond quickly and effectively to all priorities in each sector.

1993

1993

In 1993, the company went through a change in its guidelines. At that time, the companies AEMCO, COTRAME, and COLOMBO FOUNDRY were merged into the company MIAC, which became the “parent company” and the others as subsidiaries. The brands MIAC, AEMCO, COTRAME, and COLOMBO FOUNDRY, as they were well known in the market, were maintained and a new corporate name was born “Indústrias Reunidas Colombo Ltda” and thus the brand COLOMBO was born. The strategy allowed for the creation of an administrative office that centralized the purchase, sale, and human resources operations, united the financial departments, and started to manage the complex called COLOMBO INDUSTRIES.

1997

1997

In 1997, Colombo, in search of new markets and expansion of its brand, started to export its products. The path was opened during a meeting of the Agricultural Machinery and Implements Sector Chamber. The company adhered to the BMS (Brazil Machinery Solutions) Program, the result of a partnership between the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) and the Brazilian Association of the Machinery and Equipment Industry (ABIMAQ), aimed at promoting Brazilian exports of machinery and equipment.

2005

2005

As part of the brand's internationalization process, as of 2005, in addition to direct sales to customers in other countries, the company decided to open strategic business units outside Brazil. The growing increase in exports has given rise to COLOMBO ARGENTINA in Villa Maria, in the province of Córdoba, today established in Río Cuarto.

2006

2006

Continuing the internationalization process initiated in the previous year, COLOMBO NORTH AMERICA was born in the city of Ocilla, currently established in the city of Adel, in the State of Georgia (USA), thus creating a structure of commercial, technical, and logistic support, strengthening and consolidating the company in the international market.

2008

2008

Adopting a bold strategy to expand its portfolio, COLOMBO INDUSTRIES, always attentive to market needs and with increasingly solid growth objectives, 2008, began to produce MIAC products for coffee processing and harvesting. Already in 2009, extending the strategy to other units of the group, AEMCO, and COTRAME, started to produce transmission boxes and hydraulic cylinders, respectively.

2011

2011

In 2011, COTRAME acquired a drawing machine to produce tubes and bars and, in 2013, continuing the company's expansion strategy, it acquired a plastic injection machine. These actions made it possible to reach and surpass the objectives established by the Directors, together with the professional work of all Employees.

2018

2018

Based on a partnership based on respect and trust, developed together with peanut producers, it was possible to create solutions in technology and equipment that brought benefits to the entire production chain of grains such as peanuts, beans, corn, and soybeans. The result of this partnership was the development and launch of the first self-propelled harvester, the Avanti C360.

2022

2022

With absolute success in the peanut harvest, Avanti undergoes a redesign process and implementation of new technologies. With this new version, the product delivers greater efficiency and availability in the harvest of grains. Once the product has matured, Avanti starts operating in the corn harvest in the USA, expanding its operating capacity and fully complying with the purpose for which it was developed.

2022

2022

In April 2022, Colombo underwent a reformulation, launching a new visual identity for its brands, which better reflects the values and personality of the group. Aligned with the markets it serves, in Brazil and abroad, Indústrias Colombo is proud of the work carried out over 50 years in the agricultural machinery and component segment. A work based on ethics, respect, commitment to its customers and suppliers, sustainable development, and a successful partnership with the countryman.
